Charles McGee, a Tuskegee Airman who flew 409 fighter fight missions over three wars, has died. He was 102.
Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of Protection Lloyd Austin on Sunday introduced his demise on Twitter, each of them calling McGee an American hero.
“Whereas I’m saddened by his loss, I’m additionally extremely grateful for his sacrifice, his legacy, and his character. Relaxation in peace, Normal,” wrote Austin, who didn’t specify the place McGee died.
